Sound in a horse-riding hall – a challenge for human and animal

At a stud in the Oldenburger Münsterland there is now, an unmistakably, natural and pleasant sound in the riding hall. When choosing the right PA system, several criteria had to be met, which were an extremely challenging combination: For the sound system in the riding arena, the highest level of speech intelligibility was required across the board, but, at the same time, the volume must not frighten the horses and the loudspeakers should not impair the view and, of course, sound very good.

Michael Hünteler, National Sales and Project Manager at Pan Acoustics, found the solution in passive line sources of the Pan Speaker P 08-Pi in a weatherproof (IP65) and ball-impact-proof version. The six installed P 08-Pi now effortlessly fill the riding arena with its dimensions of 60 x 25 meters and provide the room with excellent speech intelligibility. Now the riders can understand all commands and announcements from the teacher and the judges without the horses being shy. The new sound system in the riding arena convinced the customer so much that he immediately expanded his request. As a music lover, the landlord wanted the right speakers for the lounge and the balcony, offering a magnificent view of the riding horses. Two Pan Speaker P 261-AMT | Cine and an active subwoofer PB S-208 were installed in the lounge.

A Yamaha matrix takes care of the entire audio management. Music is streamed from two Sonos units over W-LAN." An incredibly brilliant sound!" Enthuses the owner of the stud. "Extremely differentiated and crisp bass. But I didn't expect any other result from Pan Acoustics", the operator smiles. Pan Acoustics is thankfull for the trust and thanks the partner company of Thomas Holzenkamp for the good cooperation again.
