Pan Powerline in St. Bonifatius, Leipzig

Challenging acoustic conditions and historic preservation - two things that seem hard to reconcile at first glance when it comes to renovating a sound system in a church. Especially if, as in this case, it is a rounded building with a dome ceiling.

[Translate to Englsich:]

That this can still be mastered is shown by Pan Acoustics' partner VST from Saalfeld. By using active speakers from the Pan Beam series in the Pan Powerline version, the highest speech intelligibillity prevails in the parish church in Leipzig from 1929. Due to the directional sound generated by the Beam Steering Technology in the Pan Beam series, the "Word of God" arrives exactly where it should be - no matter where you are as listener, in the front, in the middle or in the very last row. Unwanted reflections and annoying reverberation are iliminated.

Two Pan Beam PB 08-PPL are installed at the sides of the sanctuary, another PB 04-PPL on the gallery. The column speakers can conveniently be controlled over Pan Acoustics' Central Control Unit (CCU).

The special feature: the Pan Powerline technology defies the listed preservation regulations and limited possibilities for new cable routes. The two-wire cabling of the two existing speaker columns could still be used and the Pan Beam PPL loudspeakers could easily be connected to these cables again.
